Job Description

Full-time position with Accounting Team, working 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Wonderful working environment with opportunity for growth. This position is full time, hourly, and nonexempt.

Collection Management Duties

  • Prepare and send out past due invoices, statements and notices. Contact clients to follow up on past due invoices when necessary
  • Work with Controller on accounts needing to be written off to bad debt
  • Coordinate with the billing team and other departments regarding collection goals and efforts
  • Verify payments have been applied correctly
  • Work with clients both internal and external to resolve billing issues
  • Forecast and manage cash flow based on receivables days outstanding
  • Must meet or exceed required level of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in all measured areas
  • Complete other projects as assigned by Controller or Vice President
  • Backup for other team members, as needed

Other Accounts Receivable Duties

  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable to the General Ledger
  • Deposit operating checks and enter operating invoices
  • Process incoming and initiate outgoing ACH payments
  • Process month end invoices for multiple departments
  • Process and transfer fees from custodial accounts
  • Approve ACH requests from multiple departments
  • Maintain and approve bank transactions
  • Process and manage commissions for brokers

Qualifications

  • Ability to proactively seek opportunities to help the team
  • Have strong computer skills including typing and 10-key and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Ability to meet deadlines and time constraints
  • Exceptional ability to pay attention to detail, work accurately and follow established procedures
  • Be professional and articulate in both verbal and written communication
  • Be highly motivated, hardworking and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to stay on task and manage distractions
  • Ability to work well within a team

Education and Experience - Some college or equivalent work experience preferred

Physical Requirements -  This position requires the employee to be seated the majority of the work time.
