Job Description

Full-time position in assigned business area, regularly working 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Wonderful working environment with opportunity for growth. The Systems Specialist has a deep understanding of the assigned business area processes and procedures and is also familiar with relational database systems. This position is full time, hourly and nonexempt.



  • Design and integrate new processes into assigned business or existing systems
  • Responsible for end-user training on new processes or systems
  • Acts as a liaison between IS/IT and assigned business area to meet business requirements and to collaborate on projects including AWD workflows
  • Consistently audits department processes to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Ensures that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the information systems
  • Design and maintain reports as requested by the department
  • Actively search for ways to improve current processes to increase efficiencies
  • Backup for other team members, as needed
  • Seek learning opportunities to stay current on best practices for programming and development principles.
  • Must meet or exceed required level of key performance indicators (KPIs) in all measured areas
  • Complete other projects as assigned by department Director or Vice President



  • Ability to proactively seek opportunities to help the department and team members
  • Have strong computer skills including typing and 10-key and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Be professional and articulate in both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy of work, maintain an organized approach to duties and responsibilities and follow established procedures
  • Be well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Be highly motivated and hardworking and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to learn quickly and research complex problems independently
  • Have a basic understanding of databases management systems (i.e. MSSQL & Oracle)
  • Have understanding of and ability to learn and implement programming principles and practices (experience with C#, C++, VBA/VB, HTML, CSS, etc. a plus)
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently

Education and Experience -  Some college or equivalent work experience in programming or computer science preferred

Physical Requirements -  This position requires the employee to be seated the majority of the work time.
